Answers to Your Questions
Will we be able to edit our website?
Does the website come with ongoing support?
How easy is it to make edits on the website?
Can we keep our current domain/ URL?
Yes, you can keep your existing domain/URL for the school and use it for the new website. We build you new website on a development server under a temporary URL. We will launch the new website under your existing domain by switching the Name Server records or A record of the domain to point to our servers on the official launch date.
Is there a discount for non-profits?
Yes! We love non-profit organizations and recognize the value they bring to our communities across the U.S. and internationally. If you're a non-profit, we'll give you $200 off your website setup with the QuickStart package! Note: discount does not apply to the Micro package.
Do I need ongoing maintenance?
Rest assured Gradelink's accessible, trustworthy, and capable team will manage your website so you can focus on running your school or organization.
Does my website need to be accessible?
Yes! In recent years, website accessibility has been an increasing point of concern for many organizations, in part due to recent updates to laws relating to accessibility (such as Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973). There has also been an uptick in the frequency of lawsuits brought against establishments that are not compliant with such laws. The education sector is no different from any other industry in this regard, and could easily be targeted by accessibility lawyers. Legal ramifications aside, wouldn't you want your website to be accessible to people with disabilities? Gradelink school websites are designed to meet at least 95% of the requirements to ensure accessibility for most site visitors.
Will my current site go down during development?
No, your current website will not go down. It will stay online while we build your new site on a development environment. Once the new website is ready to launch, we will replace the old website with your new one.
